Device Activation
Mobile Devices are managed from the Wisetail Admin tool. To view all devices, navigate to:
- The Admin Tool → the System tab → Devices pill.
Any active user can request approval to use the Wisetail Drive app on a mobile device. With the new Pending Approval, Approved, and Disapproved device states admins can quickly filter the device list and apply appropriate approvals and disapprovals as needed. Locate the device(s) you’d like to approve or disapprove and check the box next to the device. To Approve, click the Approve button above the device list. To Disapprove, click on the dropdown arrow next to the Approve button and select Disapprove.
@Work & Wisetail Drive
Once, you’ve enabled @Work an icon will display on the media item, indicating that @Work filtering has been enabled.
On the Web
Wisetail Drive’s @Work functionality on the Web functions very similarly to @Work modules.
In The CMS App
The Wisetail Drive mobile apps support @Work functionality, even offline. While mobile devices must have an internet connection at the time of login in order to establish the @Work state and bypass filtering, once the team member has logged in and @Work state has been established, they are free to move around the work space, even in and out of areas where an internet connection may be limited or unavailable, and they will be able to continue accessing restricted content.
Note: The system determines a user's @Work at login. That @Work status is retained until the session ends.
Drive Role Ability
Users assigned a custom role with the Manage Carousels ability and a restricted audience (has rules defined) can only manage carousels that are managed by their custom role and will not be able to re-order the carousels.
Note: It is recommended that you include the Manage Media role ability when created a custom role for carousel managers.
Force Inactive Logout
You can configure a custom forced-logout-timer for the Drive/CMS app. You can also disable it altogether. This is only for the Drive/CMS app.
To configure your app timeout setting:
You can manage this at Admin Tool → System → App Settings a → Wisetail Drive →
Drive App Session Timeout

@Work & Wisetail Drive
Drive supports publication workflows that allows admins to add items in a ‘draft’ state until they are ready; and when the content is ready, it can either be published immediately or at a scheduled date. You can also schedule a removal date. This is supported asynchronously (no internet connection required to publish & unpublish on schedule).
By default, all new media added to Drive will start out in a Draft state. Additional configurations —such as customizing the thumbnail, adding permissions, and reordering media— are supported before publication.
After creation, the media item will now either be in a Scheduled or Published state, depending on the Publish Date provided in the Manage Schedule modal.
To schedule a removal, open the media item menu for the item you’d like to publish, and click Manage Schedule. The Manage Schedule modal will open. Enter a Remove Date and click Save.
The media item will be made unavailable to your teams—and removed from the carousel—on the date you specified in the last step. If you’d like to republish the same media item you’ll first need to re-add it to your carousel.
