First you need to ensure that you have the option Automatically republish when changes are made is enabled.
Second, Google can take anywhere from 5-10 minutes (and sometimes a bit longer) to republish a document or spreadsheet. So try grabbing a fresh cup of coffee and checking again. (Wouldn't it be nice if more of the worlds problems could be solved by getting fresh coffee?)
