Report export (*.csv) files, such as the Test Report, are encoded in Unicode (UTF-8) for Multi-Language support. By default, Microsoft Excel will not display the extended characters properly if the file is opened by double-clicking. To see the extended characters, import the file to Excel using the following steps.

File Import Steps

  1. Open Excel to a new Blank Workbook
  2. Select the Data tab
  3. Select Get External Data
  4. Select From Text

  5. Select the Report Export .csv file to import and click Get Data
  6. In Text Import Wizard Step 1 of 3 box, make sure that Delimited is selected as well as File origin is set to Unicode (UTF-8). Click Next

  7. In Text Import Wizard Step 2 of 3 box, deselect Tab and select Comma as the delimiter. Click Finish, then OK to import the data to the blank workbook

Checkmarks and other extended characters should now display correctly.
