Deliver your LMS content in multiple languages with AI-powered translations. Available to users who have enabled the Multi-Language Tool, you can use AI to translate module text and certain content items into the other languages enabled on your system. Managed by the Manage Modules and Manage New Builder Modules roles.
Module-Level Translations
After you've built a module in the Learning Path builder, click the Globe icon to open the AI-translations tool. Choose the language you want to translate into (the list matches the languages enabled on your system), then click Generate Translations.
The tool translates all Admin-created text, including the module title and description, section summaries, landing page instructor notes and overview, and section titles, descriptions, and overviews.
Translations land in a Draft stage so you can review them for accuracy before anything goes live. From the draft, you can edit the text, regenerate translations if you want the system to try again, and then publish when you're happy with the result. Translated text is not visible to Users until it's published at the module level.
Content-Level Translations
Beyond module fields, the tool also translates many content items added to a module:
- Tests: titles, descriptions, hints, questions, and Admin-set answers
- Homework: title, assignment question, and instructions
- Observation Checklists: title, description, item titles and descriptions, and observer instructions
- Links: title and description
- Flashcards: title, description, hints, questions, and Admin-set answers
- Embedded Media: title and description
- Events: title, description, and session titles and descriptions
- Text Blocks
While the module is in Draft, content types that surface their own Review panel (Events, Tests, Homework, Flashcards, and Observation Checklists) show a banner prompting you to review them. Clicking Review opens that piece of content in a new tab under the applicable language viewing version, where you can edit the translated text directly. If you delete a module's translations, the content-level translations are removed along with them.
Some content is not translated, including videos and video subtitles, static text, documents, images, gates, other modules, eLearning media, and Wistia videos.
AI Translations for Classic Modules
AI translations now extend to Classic Modules, so you can translate your legacy modules into the languages enabled on your site and make that content accessible to more of your Users.
New Content Banner
When you add new translatable content to the English viewing version of a module that's already been AI-translated, a banner lets you know the system has detected new content. It's a prompt to revisit your translations and make sure they're complete across every enabled language, so nothing slips through untranslated after you've made edits.
