While this report is called version 2 of the Multi-Module Completions Report, it is a independent and standalone report that addresses the failings of that report (which failed to take enrollments into account). The existing Multi-Module Completions Report will remain available in perpetuity.

Major Differences: MMRC Vs MMRC2

Unlike the MMRC, the MMRC2 is not restricted to 10 modules, plays well with modules which are in Enrollments, has an awesome Grid View, as well as a View to show via Users or via the Modules themselves. You can also filter it to show only users which have completions for the modules in question.

Views

  • User: Organizes the data by Users that have completed one or more of the selected modules.
  • Module: Organizes the data presented in the report by the modules that have been selected.
  • Grid: In this new view, Users and Modules are displayed in a grid format and icons and data can be found at their intersecting points. Four different status can be found at intersection points: Completed, In Progress, No Access and Not Viewed:

The option to add more profile fields is only available in the By User and By Grid views at this time.

Other Features

In the ‘By User’ view of the new Multi-Module Completion Report v.2, multiple completions of a module by a user within a defined time period are now included in the report.

In the By User view, for users that have multiple completions of the same module over the defined period of the report, the listed module will have an additional “(+x)” next to the module, where ‘x’ indicates the number of additional completions.

Grouping

After you have selected Module(s), a timeframe, configurations, and clicked Run Report, you will see a new option under the Data Views dropdown location in the Report UI labeled Group By.

When you select Group By, a Profile Field dropdown appears beside it. From there, you will select a specific Profile Field you want to group the report data by. (You can only choose from Select and Linked Field profile field types at this time.)

Once a profile field is selected, the report will display a grid that shows the overall completion percentage of a particular module grouped by the values for the selected Profile Field. The percentage represents that overall completion percentage for all the users that have a particular value.

You are able to export the CSV for the Group By view and the download will include unique identifiers for the selected Modules and Profile Field Values. Note: Manage Columns is disabled in this view.

At this time, the Group By view provides an overview of completion percentages for each value but does not provide granular reporting for each user in the value.
