With subtitle support, Admins can upload subtitle files to video media and Learners will have the option to turn them on when viewing a video.

For videos found under the Content tab, Admins have the option to upload a subtitle file by clicking the Upload Subtitles button.

NOTE: Only .vtt file types are supported for video subtitles.

When clicked, the familiar file uploader will appear. Admins can upload subtitle files directly to the video.

Once uploaded, the file will be in an Inactive state. If the Admin is ready to activate the subtitle file, they will click the Activate button next to the file.

Once the subtitle is active, the Admin can preview how the subtitles look with the video by playing the video. Ensure that the Captions function is enabled by clicking the 3-dot menu on the bottom right corner of the video.

For clients that have enabled multiple languages in their LMS, you can also upload subtitle files for each of the language versions of a video by clicking on the language, and uploading subtitles files in the same way described above.

If the Admin wants to deactivate the subtitle file, or download or delete the subtitle file, they can do so by clicking the Deactivate button or navigating to the 3-dot menu next to it for additional actions.

Learners will have the option to turn on or off subtitles. They can do so by clicking the gear icon from the video, clicking the CC option, and selecting a language.
