How to Clear Cache & Cookies

Some issues can be resolved by clearing your web browsers cache & cookies. This article explains how to do this for both the Firefox & Chrome web browsers on Windows (7+), as well as MacOS.

Firefox

Windows

  1. Click Tools --> Settings.
  2. Select the Preferences link.
  3. Click Privacy & Security.
  4. Under the Cookies and Site Data heading, click Manage Data.
  5. Type Wisetail.
  6. Click Remove All Shown.
  7. Click Save Changes.

MacOS

  1. From Firefox, in the System menu bar, click Firefox.
  2. Click Preferences.
  3. Click Privacy & Security.
  4. Under the Cookies and Site Data heading, click Manage Data.
  5. Type Wisetail.
  6. Click Remove All Shown.
  7. Click Save Changes.

Chrome

MacOS & Windows

  1. On the browser toolbar, click the Chrome menu icon.
  2. Select the More Tools option.
  3. Select the Clear browsing data option.
  4. Select the Cookies and other site and plug-in data and Cached images and files checkboxes.
  5. Click the Clear Browsing Data button.

Safari

  1. From Safari, in the System menu bar, click Preferences.
  2. Go to the Advanced tab (all the way at the right)
  3. Click Show Develop menu in menu bar.
  4. Close that window.
  5. In the System menu bar, click Develop --> Empty Caches.
