Causes of SAML Error / Server Error
Some possible causes of this error:
- Returned during a user SSO login when the NameID saml attribute value matches the related value of an existing but inactive LMS account.
- Review the LMS user accounts to see if there is a matching account that is inactive and consider activating the account if appropriate.
- Returned during a user SSO login after a long pause, when the login process takes longer than 30 seconds to complete. This is usually due to many updates being passed through saml attributes during login, especially changes related to the deletion of linked field values.
- Review the linked field value associations for the related LMS user account. Perhaps manually remove any invalid/incorrect select values, especially those used in linked field associations and have the user try again.
