Admin Tool → System → Brand → Login Page Background.
You can upload, activate, deactivate, and delete login background images and videos at will. There is no limit to the number of backgrounds you can have in this section, nor a limit to the number of backgrounds that can be active at one time. The system will randomly cycle through all the active backgrounds.
The file uploader supports multiple simultaneous uploads. Information about file types, sizes, and recommended dimensions is provided on the information panel. Once uploaded, the login backgrounds are in an Inactive state.
Functions
- Preview the login page under the drop-down menu next to any background. When previewing, a new tab with the login page featuring the selected background will open.
- Delete the background from the same drop-down menu.
- Activate: The Activate button on each background includes the selected background in the list of backgrounds used for the login page.
- Inactivate: The Inactivate button removes the background from the list of backgrounds to use.
Scheduling Backgrounds
The Login Background scheduling feature allows you to set any number of login backgrounds to be activated and deactivated on a schedule.
Much like scheduling a Module activation, the Login Background schedule allows you to set an activation and deactivation date on a login background.
Located in the drop-down menu found next to an uploaded background, clicking the Schedule option will display the familiar scheduling tool.
Fallback Background
To make sure that your login screen is never blank, use the Fallback Background setting. In the event no background is active on the login screen, setting a Fallback Background ensures that the login page always has an acceptable background.
Videos
In order to provide the end user with best experience, we suggest the following video parameters:
- Videos should display in 16:9 aspect ratio
- Minimum resolution of 1280x720
- Maximum resolution of 1920x1080
- Videos should be under 20 MB (5 MB is ideal).
- Supported video types are .MP4 (recommended) and .MOV.
